OWSLA has announced their third annual Nestivus holiday campaign benefitting Bridges For Music. All subscriptions to OWSLA’s Drip.FM service will be discounted for the whole month of December with all proceeds going towards helping Bridges for Music fund the construction of the Langa Music School in Cape Town, South Africa. With the purchase of a discounted membership users will receive free downloads of new music, new merch and other goodies in addition to donating towards a worthy cause.
The previous years have been monumental with over $18,000 raised for Bridges for Music. These profits have helped fund Langa Music School in Cape Town, a township with a vibrant music scene where house music has become a driving force for the youth. Bridges For Music actively supports growing electronic music scenes in developing countries, leaving a positive impact in disadvantaged communities and helping to raise global awareness about local issues through music. The organization embodies the mantra that electronic music is a universal language for giving back and dismantling socio-economic boundaries between the rich and poor, and OWSLA is humbled to have helped in that cause.
The first treat for Nestivus is out today as a special mix from OWSLA signee Phonat, with a bonus video coming tomorrow via FADER for his single Fire featuring Jolie and the Key. Some other treats coming throughout the month include a Skype call with What So Not, six autographed Milo & Otis t-shirts, remix stems from Getter and G-Buck, and exclusive song downloads from Valy Mo, REZZ and Rell The Soundbender.
