One moment I will never forget will be be witnessing the sun rise during Aly & Fila‘s set at Electric Daisy Carnival Las Vegas last year as Fadi (aka Fila) closed with their world renown track We Control The Sunlight featuring vocals with Jwaydan. Since 2008 the Trance mega stars have been voted onto the DJ Mag Top 100 every year from dedicated followers of their sound. The Egyptian duo Aly & Fila has 8 compilations, 4 albums and 37 singles under their belt along with breakthrough performances like their recent Future Sound of Egypt 400 show at the Pyramids of Giza. Just this past weekend Aly & Fila sent shockwaves through the electronic music scene with their BBC Radio 1 Essential mix highlighting some of the freshest Trance and upcoming album release. Like a runaway train there is no stopping the momentum the Egyptian DJ/Producer duo has on the Trance music scene.
I highly anticipate new content from Aly & Fila as well as some of their beloved classics. We can expect Fadi to dish out some serious uplifting along with more darker offerings. I am hoping to hear one of my all time trance favourites Coming Home by Aly & Fila with vocals by Jwaydan. Being a student in the Waterloo area in the past, I spent countless weekends at BETA. This track will for sure bring unforgettable moments to myself and the loyal Trance crowd. We can also expect to hear content from their critically acclaimed album ‘The Other Shore” with massive tracks like For All Time, Running, and Nubia.
BETA Waterloo is hosting a series of Trance events in their much welcomed Transcendence festival with Aly & Fila leading the wave of shows. This year Transcendence 2016 has called upon the likes of Ferry Corsten, Simon Patterson, Super8 & Tab, and even a classics set by Myon and Shane 54 to showcase their talents under the high ceilings of BETA.
