Previously releasing his massive hits Skank and Fulfill on Musical Freedom Records last year, Lucky Charmes returns to the label as this month’s guest for Musical Freedom Radio Vol. 25, available now for free download.
Inviting artists to showcase their own “musical freedom” in an hour-long set, the series gives its guests the opportunity to step outside the box of what they might typically play live. Previously, the radio series has hosted some major names in electronic music including Oliver Heldens, Tommy Trash, The Chainsmokers and Don Diablo.
Lucky Charmes says, “Growing up in Amsterdam, a city with different cultures and musical subgenres, created my wide taste of music! For this mix I chose not to play the usual house stuff what you expect of my live sets. I compiled a mix full of moombah, trap and dancehall tunes which inspires me a lot during the process of producing my own “SKANK” house sound! Hope you like it, let me know what you think of it!”
Lucky Charmes’ signature groovy garage bass sound is a unique subgenre that brings a whole new style to the the scene. Already holding a place in the Dutch dance scene, Lucky Charmes is rapidly making a name for himself worldwide. He has a history of releases on big name labels including Spinnin’ Records, Mixmash Records, Calvin Harris’ Fly Eye Records, Sony Music and many others. Through the years his impressive support from colleagues in the industry and racking up performances at internationally known venues such as Jimmy Woo, The Sand and Escape in Amsterdam and Now & Wow in Rotterdam. Lucky’s love for DJ-ing and teaching others how to spin the decks is something he inspiringly demonstrates as a certified trainer at the Pioneer DJ School. 2016 will be his biggest year yet.
