Often, event attendees flock to the main rooms to witness the major headlining artists featured on the main flyers and promotions for the events. It is easy to simply settle and not explore once comfortable in one location. As humans driven by curiosity, we should not let limit our own horizons. It is not uncommon to find a whole new world at what is thought to be the edge of the previous one; from explorers in history into the evening of June 4th, 2016, you too can be a part of a new discovery.

The Monkey Buzinezz team lined up so much variety at Trance Unity, that Team EDM TOR will be headed out in full force to Circus HD in Montreal to take in all three room and report back to you. There are articles out about Heaven Room (written by Ashlyn) and Hell Room (written by Nicole), but this one focuses on the Earth Room which exclusively showcases some of the best DJs playing regularly in the Ottawa and Montreal areas.

Dave Nadz & Leblanc, two Quebec-raised locals, combined forces to create a hard hitting trance duo. The pair have been featured on popular international Trance radio shows like Sean Tyas Degenerate, and RAM Grotesque recently. With a very Blue Soho-esque sound, the team offers proper 140 infused with uplift and psy elements. A very notable track deserving of mention is their mash up of ReOrder vs Aly & Fila, Yana Kay – Set It up Way Finding Along The Edge.

Hollow Earth is well known in Montreal night clubs like Le Cinq and Circus for their Trance and Tech Trance offerings. Nico Procopio and David Procopio are the members of this group, having debuted at Circus in 2009 and still going strong till this date. The pair have a deep passion for Trance centering on the dark and tech side. Hollow Earth’s Soundcloud offers a recording of one of their sets at Circus for you to preview what the pair is gonna dish out.

JCP is a Montreal local from Sherbrooke, Quebec. Exploring some of the content on his Soundcloud, JCP has a diverse sound in the Trance realm favoring a dark and heavier sound. He has a two hour mega mix so you can play it to hear what he is all about.

The South American and European decent Lars Pedersen moved to Montreal in the late 90’s, he later discovered trance through old school Tiesto, Sander Van Doorn and later Simon Patterson. These artists have largely influenced Lars’ sound, and continues to affect his style as he performs. Lars’ style can be defined as a mixture of tech trance and uplifting. His previous bookings include Penthouse on St-Laurent and Saturday Night Live hosted by Team 140 Montreal. You can hear one of his sets on his SoundCloud.

Sheridan Grout is a Trance DJ from Ottawa that will also make his way to Circus during Trance Unity. He keeps busy with the monthly mixes he showcases on his Soundcloud. His sound profile is quite diverse, with an abundance of selection that would appeal to any Trance fan. Sheridan seems to favour more synth melody driven tracks packed with energy; his latest monthly mix for May can be found below.

Among the long list of DJs in the Earth Room there will also be support from Ross that evening.

With so much choice there is no shortage of trance and talent across Trance Unity’s Earth Room. With the stages set and the set times just recently released, June 4th is coming up quickly, and not a moment too soon.
