Rising Australian singer/songwriter and producer George Maple returns with a vengeance with her first track of 2016, Sticks and Horses featuring GoldLink, and a smoldering new companion music video. The massive track produced by Maple, What So Not, Noah Breakfast, and WILLS shows her versatility and puts forth an infectious, hard-hitting melody coupled with GoldLink’s ferocity. The companion video, which was directed by Leticia Dare, edited by Josiah Spencer (Drunk In Love) and produced by Valentines Street Productions, depicts a black widow’s tale of revenge fully inspired by Maple’s first hand experience with the pains of being a woman in the industry and the money, greed and power that often comes with the territory.
A long time accomplished songwriter with over 70 million plays on SoundCloud alone already under her belt, George Maple is coming into her own and positioning herself as an unstoppable force. She has been selling out shows in US, London and Australia for some time now and has rapidly garnered acclaim from breakout collaborations with Flume, What So Not, Snakehips and her recent “Vacant” EP. More to come from her very soon.
