Making a much-anticipated return to Toronto, the city welcomes talented trance duo Aly & Fila on September 23rd, 2016 at Maison Mercer. EDM TOR has followed these dynamic Egyptian artists since interviewing them post-Contact 2013, and reviewed several of their events here – most recently, last year at Muzik, and back in March of this year, when they spun at Beta for Transcendence.
Aly & Fila have played at some of the greatest venues in the greatest cities, for some of the biggest crowds, including festivals like Electric Daisy Carnival (Las Vegas, USA), Tomorrowland (Boom, Belgium), Stereosonic (Australia), and Global Gathering (UK). They have even had the distinct honour to perform in one of the most unique settings within their own country: on the grounds of the Great Pyramids of Giza! Since their track with Jwaydan, We Control the Sunlight, was voted “Tune of 2011” on Armin Van Buuren’s radio show, Aly & Fila have been on an unstoppable roll burning up dance floors around the world with their hits like Mysteries Unfold, Perfect Love, and their latest hit Unbreakable.
Aly & Fila are currently touring in celebration of their internet radio show, Future Sound of Egypt, which recently reached its 450 episodes. Expect to see campaign flags from the FSOE 500 Toronto team throughout the crowd, they’ll be there with bells on, too.
