EVENT PREVIEW: T.U.N.E. presents Masters of Trance at The Paper Box 09-09-16

New York City has become the hub of the North East for Trance music lately. Just last week, the Big Apple had its first ever Dreamstate festival, featuring a lineup of some of the top trance DJs currently in the scene. Now, just a few weeks later, Brooklyn is being treated to another fabulous night of Trance, courtesy of T.U.N.E. (Trance Union North East). The event will take place at the Paper Box at 17 Meadow street in Brooklyn on September 9th, 2016 at 8 PM, and will feature the stellar lineup of Roger Shah, Darren Porter, M.I.K.E. Push, and Temple One, as well as an opening set by local mix master, Ceaz Amaze.

Trance legend Roger Shah needs no introduction. Since the early 2000’s he has released countless high-profile releases on top-tier labels such as Armada, Black Hole, Vandit, FSOE, and his own label, Magic Island Records. His Magic Island radio show is one of the most popular trance shows today. A pioneer of the Balearic sound, Roger Shah has played at many the top venues and festivals in the world. For this event, Roger will present a special Sunlounger set as well as a Magic Island Volume 7 set, featuring live vocals from the talented Leilani. Don’t miss Roger Shah as he brings his iconic sound to New York once more!

One of the fastest rising stars in the trance scene, Darren Porter, is a master producer. His vast array of production skills have made him one of the most consistent trance artists around. He routinely pumps out tracks that immediately receive support from the trance world’s biggest stars. In addition to creating his own tunes, Darren also makes top quality templates and presets for other producers to use and learn from. With huge releases on labels like Armin’s Who’s Afraid of 138, Monster Tunes, and Tytanium, Mr. Porter shows no signs of slowing down. Veteran producer and DJ, M.I.K.E. Push is one of the most versatile trance artists out there. Since the 90’s he has been rocking crowds and putting out huge tunes. His most well-known track, Universal Nation is a true trance classic that stands the test of time. Under his many aliases, M.I.K.E. Push has made songs for and remixed many of the most well known electronic musicians, including Armin Van Buuren, Moby, Markus Schulz, and Mauro Picotto. Of recent, M.I.K.E. Push has had strong releases on FSOE, High Contrast, Coldharbour, and his MPS label. You can catch M.I.K.E. on Trance Thursdays online with his Club Elite Sessions radio show.

Joe Garrett, a.k.a. Temple One, makes his NYC debut at this event. Temple One has released with labels such as Flashover, Armada, Enhanced, and Always Alive Recordings. A true trance master, his productions are always of the highest quality. A master of sound design, Joe’s songs are always lush and full of life. Like Darren Porter, Temple One has produced several preset packs for producers, many of which have been used by some of the top trance artists. There’s a good chance that some of your favorite trance tracks contain sounds that were made by him!

Opening the night is New York’s own Ceaz Amaze. A knowledgeable and experienced DJ, Ceaze Amaze knows how to get a crowd going. After playing an exciting set at the Tunnel stage at Dreamstate, Ceaze is back to showcase his skills as an opener. Be sure to get there early prepare to be taken on a musical journey.

It is not often that you get a lineup as exciting as the one for Trance Masters. A mix of veterans and rising stars, there is something here for everyone. This event is similar to what you’d get at European Trance parties, so be sure to grab your tickets as soon as you can. Whether you’re a long-time trance fan, or a newcomer, this is not a night you want to miss!
