Trance Sessions Toronto and Populus (formerly Toika) are uniting on October 21, 2016 to bring you a night like none other this Halloween season.
Trancemergency: A Night of 138+ will bring you cimmerian beats at a minimum 138 bpm, guaranteed, to keep you dancing until close. Musical talent for the night will include four local artists that have been selected based on their affinity and passion for the genre of Trance – especially in its darker forms!
Adrian MARSHALL will be returning to Populus, where he played his first gig and opened for the 100th episode of the Tranced Podcast. Since then, he has been honing his skill and playing at other venues around the city, including an earlier Trance Sessions Toronto event that was dedicated as an Anjunabeats and Oceanlab tribute. MARSHALL brings his skills back to the decks at Populus, excited to take dancers and listeners on a trip to the darker side of Progressive and Trance music.
Patrick Win, the “mood curator”, is best known for his podcast, The Good Life. His passion and experience will shine through as he joins fellow Trance fans to provide some solid dance material that will keep the crowd on their toes.
Audi Etoffe can be found everywhere that Progressive and Psy-Trance vibes land in the city. A resident with Electric Star Productions (ESP), Acid Reign Productions has spun at many local venues throughout Toronto, Audi has dropped beats with the likes of Coming Soon!!!, Talamasca, Vini Vici, and others. His dark, dancy style flows through upbeat melodies and rolling basslines, burning up dance floors at festivals and events, and sending three of his mixes to #1 on Mixcloud’s Psy-Trance chart!
Last but not least on this lineup comes Aahan, a return performer at Populus, and also previously on the line-up for Trance Sessions. Still relatively new to the scene, Aahan has been developing his personal sound and style. With cover staying at only 5$ all night long, you won’t find a better place to enjoy some solid Psy and Dark Trance on this Friday night! Doors open at 10pm, event is 19+, ID required.
