Not too long ago, in the musical landscapes of the en-Tranc-ing city of Toronto, the Hard Trance Autobots and the Psytrance Decepticons first clashed on the dance floor of Tota Lounge under the Electric Star Productions (ESP) banner. Since that first fateful encounter, each side has grown in strength and skill, spreading the sound of Trance far and wide with each new skirmish, burning up dance floors and lifting spirits over four fiery episodes. On Friday, November 11, 2016, you can join the fifth battle at Club 120 as the Autobots and Decepticons once more take up arms and battle for musical supremacy in Tranceformers: The Galactic War.
For your listening and dancing pleasure, this edition of ESP’s Tranceformers series will feature a special head-to-head battle set between ESP and Tranceformer veterans, Audi Etoffe of the Psytrance Decepticons and DJ Fraktl of the Hard Trance Autobots.
Captaining the Autobots, DJ Fraktl’s depth of experience has earned him his outstanding reputation, respected by ravers of all genres. Delivering cresting surges of rolling bass expertly mixed with captivating melodies, Fraktl’s signature hard trance has filled the dance floors at every Tranceformers event – and tonight will be no exception.
Challenging DJ Fraktl is the newly-crowned commander of the Psytrance Decepticons, Audi Etoffe. Known throughout the Toronto Psytrance scene for his incredibly energizing and intense blend of progressive Psytrance, Audi is renowned for his ability to read crowds and deliver riveting and enthralling rhythms that compel listeners to the dance floor.
Joining DJ Fraktl on the side of the Autobots, ESP is pleased to present guest DJs Johnny B and John MacDonald, co-founders of Entranced Island. DJ Johnny B is a Trance master who enjoys blending the perfect selections of both classic tracks and current favourites into a seamless, halcyonic whole. DJ John MacDonald prefers to elicit the essence of Trance, using euphoric melodies and interweaving rhythms to entrance and entice.
Returning to the decks for the Decepticons is Psytrance adept MagicMushroom. Drawing on his Portugese heritage and incorporating a decade of experience, his sets blend seamlessly into every event he spins, bringing his unique psychedelic full-on Psytrance to dance floors and festivals alongside some of the most respected DJ’s in the world. A master of his craft, MagicMushroom’s Psytrance will dance you.
Longtime ESP resident DJ Davide Ferrara will also, once again, bring his signature Goa Trance to the decks for the Psytrance Decepticons. Blending the mystical sounds of Desert Trance and Mediterranean Progressive, Davide will once more push the limits of reality. Creating atmosphere that enthralls and captivates, he will guide his listeners on a journey through ethereally organic soundscapes.
Lilian Moon Art and Deco will be arranging the environment for maximum visual appeal. ESP’s lazer light show will be in full effect, and Kotsy Photography will be covering the event. Admission is 10$ – 5$ before 11pm!
