As the monochromatic tones of winter settle over Toronto, Electric Star Productions (ESP) and PixelCorn Productions unite to combat those dull grays with some charming Eye Candy. On January 27th, 2017, come explore Club 120 as it’s never been seen before – transformed into a twisted circus for this premier collaborative event.
Custom decor, designed especially for this night will introduce a dark carnival atmosphere, setting the mood for the headliners and local talent that have been carefully selected and represent some of Toronto’s best techno and house artists. Noted for handcrafting unique pieces to invite and foster a specific feel and mood at each party they promote, PixelCorn intends to focus its significant talent on aesthetically blurring the lines between club and rave scenes. Join ESP and PixelCorn Productions for this unique immersive experience headlining Ticky Ty and DJ Addy.
Flexing skills in both performance and creative arenas, DJ and Producer Addy has grown with the Canadian music scene and learned from some of its earliest contributors. Working his way to residencies at some of Toronto’s most coveted venues – including Guvernment – Addy has performed alongside many influential and international artists and appeared at festivals like EXIT and BPM (where he holds an annual residency). When not behind the decks, Addy enjoys creating tracks and remixes in the studio and has contributed to Steve Lawler’s Global Underground compilation, and John Acuaviva’s Definitive. Original and expressive, with a track record of consistently spectacular performances, Addy is sure to be a crowd-pleaser!
DJ Ticky Ty burst into the House scene and has continued to steadily build her reputation as a vital and dynamic performer. Quickly winning stage time at popular Torono venues like Comfort Zone, Fly, Nest (previously RYZE) and Footwork, she has become as well known for her signature style and energy as she is for her charity work, supporting the community through 519 Community Center, Casey House and Supporting Our Youth. Ticky Ty is renowned for crafting each set into a captivating experience for her audiences and continuing to reach for the stars.
Usually found spinning progressive or Psytrance, local legend Audi Étoffe displays his versatility, switching genres for the night to deliver some Techno for Eye Candy. A fixture in the city’s nightlife, Audi Étoffe holds a residency with both ESP and Acid Reign Productions, but can be found spinning at venues all over the city from Bassline to Fly. Audi Etoffe is well known for the energy, intensity and passion he brings to the decks and dance floors of Toronto. His fellow resident DJ at Electric Star Productions, Toronto local Paul Savage will also be laying down some in-theme beats for this event, continuing to bring his years of experience and love of music to every performance.
Elle Nocturnal was certain, from a young age, that she would follow the artist’s path as a DJ. Since that day she has continued to learn and refine her skills, blazing her own trail through the Toronto music scene. Currently a resident of Bassline‘s reoccuring Nightlife Thursdays event, taking place every second Thursday of the month, Elle is known for throwing Drum n’ Bass, House and Techno beats with skill and and energizing dance floors wherever she goes!
Cofounder of PixelCorn productions, Tim Shannon juggles operating his rave promotion company with his work for the best House and Techno club in Toronto, while maintaining a vigorous DJ schedule. His love of music and the EDM scene has effectively permeated his life and continues to inspire his ongoing efforts to create the best musical narrative possible for each and every set. Tim has a special passion for dark and hard techno, and has enjoyed sharing his music with the city of Toronto from the decks of Coda, at Wild Summer Festival, and as a resident DJ with PixelCorn Productions.
After encountering PixelCorn’s impressive décor work and lineup firsthand at Shadow Play, and being continually impressed by ESP’s Tranceformers parties, I personally can’t wait to see what is in store for Eye Candy – but it’s certain to be an evening no one will ever forget!
