Three and a half months doesn’t seem to be as long of a wait when you have pit stops along the way. While trance fanatics eagerly countdown the days until the return of Trance Unity, event promoters Monkey BuzinezZ have organized three additional trance events to satisfy the itch. These preview parties, also being hosted inside CIRCUS Afterhours, are spread out over the remaining fourteen week waiting period and carry the same rules as the main event – no photos, videos, or set recordings allowed. International and local DJs are scheduled to perform but note that not all will return to Montreal for the finale. These three events are themed to match the three rooms featured at Trance Unity: Heaven, Hell, and Earth.
Lucky for the impatient ones, the first show takes place next week. Road To Heaven is the first of this trilogy of events with headliners: Giuseppe Ottaviani, Orkidea, Tomac, and JCP. These are familiar faces to previous Trance Unity attendees and you can read EDMTOR’s glowing review of these four artists. They were a part of the Heaven room in 2016, but unfortunately neither Ottaviani or Orkidea will be at this year’s edition of Trance Unity; fans of these two headliners will have to attend this preview party on Friday, February 24th, 2017, to catch them while they’re in town.
Mirroring the name, Road To Hell is the second show in the set scheduled to take place on Friday, March 31st, 2017. Two of the three artists, Karl K-otik and Ross, have been part of the Trance Unity family since the beginning, but the third, Coming Soon!!!, has yet to make an appearance at the main event. For now, you can catch them live at this second preview party. And as a special twist, Road To Hell marks CIRCUS Afterhours’ 13th anniversary – a clever way of celebrating the superstitiously unlucky number thirteen.
The conclusion of this trilogy of events is dedicated to our Canadian locals. No artist has to travel more than three hours to get to CIRCUS Afterhours because the five DJs scheduled to play hail from either Ottawa, Quebec City, or the hosting city of Montreal. If you already have a ticket to Trance Unity, you can catch Chris Element, Dave Nadz & LeBlanc, Niles Baxter, Seven Ways, and Sheridan Grout headline the Last Day On Earth for absolutely free! Supporting your locals couldn’t be easier. Last Day On Earth takes place on Friday, April 28th, 2017, which shortens the remaining Trance Unity countdown to only five weeks! Do you want to see these artists but can’t make the show? Don’t worry – all of them are billed for Trance Unity (four of which are in control of TU’s Earth-themed room that this preview party is based off of). Note: individual tickets have yet to be released for those who are interested but do not have Trance Unity passes.

CIRCUS Afterhours is open between 2AM and 9PM with headliners normally playing between 4AM and 8AM as a guideline, but make sure to join the Road To Heaven’s and the Road To Hell’s respective Facebook event pages to be notified when the actual set times are posted.
