EVENTS: Electric Island Announces 2017 Dates

0

It’s hard to believe that Toronto’s Electric Island concert + picnic series is already heading into its fifth season! What began as a promising gathering of devout music lovers over the May long weekend back in 2013, has since grown into an internationally acclaimed music program. Over the past 5 years, Electric Island partners Embrace, Footwork and Platform along with the fans, have watched the series blossom. Whether it was a new location, adding more dates, or most impressively, developing their roster which now includes the world’s most sought-after DJs, Electric Island has quickly become Toronto’s most cherished music adventure.

Pleased to announce the 2017 dates, Electric Island is also excited to share that there will be a second stage, giving music lovers double the experience. Electric Island will host five shows at Hanlan’s Point, beginning on Monday, May 22 (Victoria Day). Things will continue to heat up on Saturday, July 1, as we celebrate Canada Day on the island, followed by a Civic Holiday to remember on Monday, August 7. Bringing summer to a close, Electric Island will host back to back shows on Sunday, September 3 and Monday, September 4 for the Labour Day weekend. T’is truly the most wonderful time of the year!

If you’ve experienced an Electric Island before, then you already know that each event brings with it a stacked line-up of A+ artists, which in the past have included the likes of Sven Väth, Dixon, Sasha, Loco Dice and many more. Therefore, you can agree that a season pass is the way to go. This year’s passes will be sold for a modest $169.99 + HST, which will get you into all five events. Please note that ferry tickets are not included and must be purchased separately. To avoid long line-ups at the ferry terminal, Electric Island highly recommends purchasing your ferry ticket ahead of time, which will allow you to by-pass the line.

See you on the island!
