EVENT PREVIEW: Escape Together – A Journey Into Trance @ Toronto Event Centre 08-12-17

Shake those winter blues away this holiday season as Electric Escape brings back their much anticipated Escape Together – A Journey Into Trance! This year, the event has moved locations and will take place inside the recently updated Toronto Event Centre (formerly Muzik Nightclub) on December 8th 2017.

Escape Together is bringing back one of the headliners from last year’s debut show – Chris Schweizer. The 25-year-old Argentinian artist mixes trance with big room sounds and his productions are regularly featured on the biggest trance radio show, A State Of Trance. Schweizer was the closing DJ at last year’s event taking the stage at 3:45am, but that didn’t stop the hardcore Toronto Trance Family from enjoying his energetic set late into the night!

Chris Schweizer live @ Rebel – December 23rd 2016.

Fans of uplift and tech trance? Cold Blue is included in the lineup for you! He has released original and remixed music on a variety of labels including: Subculture, Future Sound Of Egypt, Pure Trance, Armada, and Outburst. He’s broken into the scene across the UK by playing several shows in some of the biggest clubs throughout 2017. This winter, Cold Blue is crossing the pond to play his first Toronto gig.

COMING SOON!!!
is coming… soon! The Isreali DJ and producer duo composed of Dui Biton and Irad Brant made their first musical debut together as one in 2012 and have succeeded ever since on the global stage with their progressive and psy trance sound. COMING SOON!!! is the only psy artist on this year’s Escape Together lineup.

You may remember Jorn van Deynhoven as the artist who created New Horizons, which was the official anthem of A State Of Trance 650 back in 2014. His career skyrocketed after that. He’s released several singles that have reached #1 on the charts and has been praised for his remixes. He’s been playing these tunes at the largest festivals across Europe ever since. This is Jorn van Deynhoven second show in Toronto this year as he was one of the DJs at Electric Escape’s debut U4RIA: Trance Collective series back in January.

Jorn van Deynhoven live @ Maison Mercer – January 27th 2017.

Sheridan Grout is the night’s only DJ hailing from Canada. The 26-year-old progressive trance artist has been supported by some of the biggest names in the trance scene and was recently voted as a “Future Favourite” on A State Of Trance. Grout is no stranger to the Toronto seen as he’s played two shows hosted by Electric Escape earlier this year (U4RIA – AVA Recordings 10 Year Anniversary and Summer 17: The White Party).

Sheridan Grout live @ Nest – February 25th 2017.

Christopher Kirkpatrick, know by his stage name Shugz, is a rising star hailing from Northern Ireland. He gained more attention outside of his homegrown roots after playing at Luminosity Beach Festival earlier this summer. This will be Shugz’s first time playing in Toronto (making him one of two Toronto debuts at this event) and he is the one to see for upcoming tech trance sounds.

It was love at first bass drop. Ashlyn became intensely drawn to the scene after her first show, a passion which has continuously blossomed ever since. Attended Las Vegas’ Electric Daisy Carnival in 2015, an unbelievable magical experience she'll cherish forever. You’ll always find her dancing in the middle of the crowd, connecting with the music, the lights, and the atmosphere. Dream on little dreamers!
