After two successful events, Psychedelic Babylon promises to take us on another journey of booming Psytrance. Debuting Glowing to Goa – aptly named after the origination of Goa trance in Goa, India, which featured minimalist drone-like basslines similar to what we now know (and love) as Psychedelic Trance – this Saturday, for the first time ever in Toronto, Liquid Soul will be making us stomp all over Sound Xchange with his hypnotizing, progressive psychedelic beats. The vibe will be set for the rest of the night with tons of talented local support, just read on to find out more!
Liquid Soul (Nicola Capobianco) is a Swiss-born DJ and producer. Hailing from IBOGA Records, Liquid Soul has established himself as a force in the Psytrance community around the world, having played at ASOT, Tomorrowland, Dreamstate, and BOOM (just to name a few). This special extended set is not something you want to miss!
Lumen (Leo Freitas), born in Brazil, had already performed his first Psytrance independent live show called LUMEN LIVE by the time he was 22. He dove into Progressive Trance once he moved to Toronto, and founded his own group (Mentis) in 2016. Lumen is proving that he’s an unstoppable force whose wave you will want to catch!
Magic Mushroom, who was born in Portugal, never fails to disappoint a crowd. A decade in the scene has solidified his reputation in the Psytrance community and his sets re-energize dance floors like no other.
Alien Pilot (Ian McKee) hails from Windsor, Ontario and delivers enchanting sounds of Psychedelic and Progressive Trance. He is heavily influenced by Liquid Soul, so this is a set that will surely have some punch to it! Ian has been expressing his excitement for this event on social media for some time now, so be sure not to miss him.
