EVENT PREVIEW: Embrace Presents Diplo alongside Chris Larsen @ Coda 11-07-19

The highly anticipated and sold-out return of Diplo takes place on July 11th, 2019 at one of Toronto’s top venues, Coda. Based out of Los Angeles, California, Diplo has accomplished almost everything in the dance music industry. The American Producer and DJ has a lengthy resume consisting of 9 Grammy Award nominations and three Grammy wins, including Best Dance Recording 2016 for Where Are U Now with Skrillex and Justin Bieber, and his most recent hit Electricity with Mark Ronson and Dua Lipa, also winning him Best Dance Recording 2019. Diplo has been one of the most active and diverse artists of his time. He has been part of multiple successful groups including Major Lazer, Jack U, LSD and, as of recently, Silk City. Not only has he had success in creating some of the top hits of our time, but he also is the brains behind his own record label Mad Decent and has been collaborating with some of music’s top talent including Beyonce, Ariana Grande, 2 Chainz and AlunaGeorge, to name a few.

Unknown to the casual fan, Diplo’s music credentials go deep – far past the pop and top 40 hits he has been celebrated for. After receiving criticism about being on the 2018 line up for Movement Detroit, a festival dedicated to underground house and techno, he brought an unforgettable deep set that took the underground community by storm. I can’t wait to hear what this dance music legend will bring to the decks at Coda, a club well-known for its heavy rotation of world-class techno and house talent. This event is sold out, but stay tuned for EDM TOR’s full event review!
