Are you looking for an escape from the city for a weekend but can’t give up a weekend of raving? On Saturday, November 16th, 2019, Anjunabeats legend Oliver Smith returns to for a single Canadian tour date before heading down to San Bernardino for Dreamstate SoCal. He will be taking over the decks at the newly renovated London Music Hall venue, Rum Runners, boasting a brand new sound system and lasers abound all within an intimate setting. He will be joined with support from London trance scene pioneer Aaron Winter and Toronto’s own A.D. the Kid.
London, UK based DJ and Producer, Oliver Smith, was the first artist signed to the Anjunabeats label back in 2001 and has cultivated his own unique deep and progressive sound within the Anjuna realm. He has been featured countless times in the Anjunabeats mixed volumes and was in charge of curating and mixing “Anjunabeats Worldwide 08”. His Anjunabeats volume contains 10 of his own tracks and remixes and reached #1 on the iTunes dance chart in the USA, Canada, UK, Australia and more. His tracks are featured prominently in the sets and on the radio shows of countless leading trance DJs and he is a regular host of Anjunabeats Worldwide Radio. Aaron Winter is an uplifting trance DJ based in London, ON who spins ethereal hand-raising melodies and heart-pounding dance beats. Due to Aaron’s efforts, London has a bright and blossoming trance scene that has given him the opportunity to play alongside German-trance legends Kyau & Albert. This past September he played the Bud Light Block Party in with headliners Deadmau5 and Diplo. In 2019, he became the first DJ on the London Arts Council live artist roster and closed out the Good Vibes Only festival with accompaniment by violinist Jesse Grandmont. Within the first few months of his debut, he was nominated for a Forest City London Music Award as ‘Best Club DJ’. Electric Escape resident and Toronto DJ, A.D. the Kid, will be making the trek down to London as support for this event. He is quickly rising in the ranks of Toronto’s DJ community with his ‘All Night Dancing’ club events. His passion and energy shine as he curates an incredible dance experience from behind the decks, performing opening duties for the likes of many worldwide talents such as Giuseppe Ottaviani, Ciaran McAuley, Sean Tyas and Jordan Suckley. He also played an incredible set on the Canadian Heroes stage at Electric Escape’s 2018 2-day trance festival, U4RIA.
This will be an incredible night that you do not want to miss. Certainly well worth the trek out to London and a great opportunity to explore what the trance community outside of Toronto has to offer.
