It’s been a full 4 years since Armada trance-hero Ben Gold took his place behind the decks in Toronto at ASOT 750. On March 21, 2020, N.E.C Productions brings Ben for his London, Ontario debut at the incredible laser-filled gem of a venue, Rum Runners, in the London Music Hall. I ran into Ben a couple of times at the Amsterdam Dance Event last year and I grilled him on why he played so often in Montreal but never returned to Toronto. He told me, while it was in the works, he was looking for the right venue with the right sound system. With Rum Runners recently upgraded, state-of-the-art audio tech and the venue’s natural acoustics it a perfect choice to showcase Ben’s massive and dynamic sound.

Ben Gold is an acclaimed trance producer and studio engineer based out of the UK. This self-taught artist took advantage of his natural talent and relentless drive and has become a mainstay of Armin Van Buuren’s Armada records. He was catapulted into the spotlight in the trance scene being dubbed the “Future of Trance” by the label with incredible releases such as All Or Nothing feat. Christina Novelli in 2014 and a stunning remix of Marcel WoodsCherry Blossom in 2015. In 2016 he was put on the world’s stage with the creation of the anthem for ASOT 750, I’m In A State Of Trance. His melodic aptitude and unstoppable drive have established him as an industry pillar, remaining consistently in demand due to his innovation and versatility. In 2019 he released “Sound Advice; Chapter 2, a follow-up to the first chapter released the previous year. The album included his track The City Sleeps Tonight which reached #17 on the ASOT Top 50 of 2019. This was not his only showing, however, with his track with Sivan, Stay (Sneijder Remix) coming in at #5. His side project in collaboration with Omnia, FUTURECODE, also made the list with their track featuring Roxanne Emery, Dancing In The Rain. This year Ben will be, once again, joining the A State of Trance milestone celebration in Utrecht, Netherlands shortly before joining us for a night of trance heaven at Rum Runners in London.

Setting the scene at Rum Runners once again is London’s own trance-superhero Aaron Winter. Aaron is well-known locally for his incredible uplifting sets filled with ethereal hand-raising melodies and heart-pounding dance beats. In 2019 he played London’s Bud Light Block Party and closed out the Good Vibes Only Festival. He also opened for german trance legends, Kyau and Albert, at their debut London, ON appearance in March 2019 . Recently he warmed up the crowd at Rum Runners for Anjunabeats legend Oliver Smith with an impeccably mixed set full of twist and turns and beautiful surprises. The Tranceported team was there to experience it first-hand! You can check out a full review of the night here, and you can hear Aaron’s full set via Soundcloud.

Tickets are available via Ticketweb for an incredibly reasonable $13 + fees so there is absolutely no reason to pass this up. I guarantee you there is no better way to spend your Saturday night.
