Psychedelic Babylon is taking us on a Trip to Neverland on April 4th, 2020. The venue will be announced twenty-four hours before the show. For this installment, Toronto welcomes back, all the way from Denmark, Phaxe!
Phaxe made his Toronto debut when Psychedelic Babylon first booked him in April of 2018 and we have been waiting for his return ever since! The Copenhagen native is sure to bring his unique progressive psytrance sound to the stage. He started his career in 2007 and had his first major break the following year with the release of his track Swing King which earned him international attention. Phaxe’s most recent release is a remix of Brazilian producer Vegas’s track Good Thing which you can check out below. In 2019, he released two huge singles; an uplifting track called Aventura alongside Zora, and a harder-hitting psytrance song called Leyenda. Phaxe has been busy touring through South America and Europe. He ended the year off at Universo Paraello Festival in Brazil and will hit the road in Hamburg, Zurich and Koln before touching down in Toronto where he is scheduled for an action-packed two-hour set! For a glimpse into what you might expect, have a read through this review that was written by Shannon Cowie when we were still named EDM TOR.
On support duties, Psychedelic Babylon brings Toronto local Napole_On who will deliver progressive tech vibes. Listen to his set below for a taste of what you can expect:
On the psytrance side of the night, sit back and let Windsor native Alien Pilot guide you through a progressive/psy journey. He is no stranger to the Toronto psy scene, having played support roles on many shows in recent years.
Finally, The Psyntist (Adrian Marshall) will be taking us on a trip as he returns for a second time as the local support for Phaxe. He will carefully select tracks for his set to keep you dancing until close. Listen to his Alweezgrooven Festival set below to get a taste of what The Psyntist has to offer.
