Sammy Bananas means business. This Fool’s Gold OG has proven himself as a master of the club jam, writing tunes that pay respect to dance music’s past while simultaneously charting it’s quirky, funky future. Money Time is his latest hybrid single, weaving vocals from new school divas Antony & Cleopatra over a chunky, pulsating slice of piano house. It’s as dancefloor (and dare we say, radio) ready as anything from the likes of Duke Dumont or Kiesza, but with a pleasantly odd heart that’s 100% Sammy. The remixes are no slouch either: peak-time heat from festival mainstay Wax Motif, jacking vibes courtesy Colorado’s Option4, and a wonky, unclassifiable bass version from Durkin that’s already a FG favorite, keeping this Money Time package paid in full.
