On Saturday, December 27th, RYZE Toronto welcomes back Daniel Portman, alongside Quim and The Nightowls for a night that is bound to be unforgettable, again. The show is being presented by Balance Inc., which is a key indicator that the show will already be a night of solid tunes. Born and raised in Zurich, Switzerland, Daniel comes to us from the Northern Hemisphere of the world and is carried on the Unreleased Digital label, as well as oversees his own record label Portman Recordings (PortRec). Many of us enjoy a blend of genres, something different for the ear; and Daniel Portman caters to that exact desire for a distinctive sound with his unique spin on a combination of progressive house and techno. He’s able to touch the soul like no other and bring out the bounce and groove on a different level, some have even called it ‘Satan’s music’. With the recent release of his greatly anticipated annual Christmas mix and most recent EP, it is clear that we are in for a real treat as his sound has evolved even more.
