Premiered as Essential New Tune on Pete Tong’s BBC Radio 1 show and named Danny Howard’s Future Anthem on his Saturday show, Dusky’s Skin Deep is the latest track to be premiered from the duo’s four-track “Ordinary World” EP.
As classy and catchy as the duo’s previous Beatport #1s Careless and Yoohoo, Skin Deep draws on ambient, almost Orbital-esque textures, distinctive vocal hooks and an unmistakably Dusky groove; a unique blend full of sonic detail and musicality.
Balancing moody tones with warmer shades, the diverse four tracks of the Ordinary World EP are another reminder of Dusky’s widescreen approach to club sounds. Skin Deep follows the hard-hitting, warehouse vibes of Jilted, previously a Special Delivery on Annie Mac’s show. Still to be premiered are the hypnotic, big room techno of Parakeet Feet and quirky roller Squeezer.
Skin Deep is available now on iTunes to those who pre-order the EP, as well as a single track download on Beatport. The full four-track EP will be released on 17 Steps on July 31, 2015.

From their nostalgic piano anthem Yoohoo through to the darker, jungle-nodding house of Inta, London duo Nick Harriman and Alfie Granger-Howell aka Dusky have become renowned for both the breadth and diversity of their production sound. As touring DJs, their global reach has included headline tours in Australia, New Zealand, North America, UK and Europe over the past 12 months – including a packed out Miami WMC showcase and their all-night set at London’s Laundry (which sold out nearly a month in advance).
Both artistically uncompromising and undeniably accessible, the duo’s sound achieves widespread DJ support from names such as Disclosure, Maya Jane Coles, George Fitzgerald and Skream, whilst Radio 1 tastemakers Annie Mac, Pete Tong and Danny Howard all champion them heavily.
