Shouting out to all the hardcore fans in the city – Hardcore Underground’s 10th Anniversary Tour is coming to Toronto May 21! Although hardcore used to be, well, the ‘core’ of the Toronto rave scene, it has lately been all quiet on the Toronto hardcore front – but that ends this weekend! Dust off your fluffies and kandi and get ready for a whole night of hardcore, brought to you by Daydream Productions! Hardcore Underground is a leading label that works with some of the best DJs and Producers in the UK scene and has been producing high-quality music since its inception. With a stunning lineup that includes both local talent and guests from across the pond, this promises to be a night to remember!
Fracus & Darwin have independently been involved with Hardcore Underground from the ground up, and have established themselves as a DJ and production duo, combining their considerable individual talent. Both have written, produced, and engineered music for Disney, Nintendo, and Konami, among others. Together, they have produced two critically acclaimed albums and continue to gain accolades locally and globally.
Al Storm has deep roots in the hardcore rave scene, which he has been contributing to for over fifteen years. As DJ Storm, he rose to recognition in the 1990’s through the consistent quality of his music, and continued to evolve his style through his work with numerous record labels, including Destructive Force, Warped Science, and 24/7. Over a wide-ranging career, he has performed across the world for HTID, Fantazia, Raindance, and Vibealite, among others, and it is his experience and passion that make him continue to be a force to be reckoned with behind the decks!
Marc Smith began his career spinning in Glasgow, and went on to develop and sharpen his style through the early 90’s, where his ’93-’95 Rezerection party sets were particularly notable. Much of his energy has recently been directed toward his Notorious Vinyl relaunch, and headlining at parties and venues around the world. He will be joined B2B with Skinny.
Chris Fear is another UK-native DJ whose tracks can be heard on Hardcore Euphoria, Clubland X-Treme (5,6, & 7) and Hardcore Underground Live, among others. He has performed at many events including Natural Born Ravers, HTID, DlamminVinyl, and others.
Oli G began DJing in ’99 and originally spun trance before becoming known for hardcore. He has produced for various labels including Camel, Digital Beatz and RFU. Lost Soul is a freeform producer who has been released on Electronica Exposed, Relentless Vinyl, Raw Elements and Innervision. Combined, this duo packs some amazing talent!
Jaw-D is a new face on the Toronto hardcore scene. Back home in the UK he has built a solid foundation for himself working with labels like Joey Riot’s Lethal Theory, Contagious Records, and Universal Hardcore Digital. A great fit for what we’d expect from a Daydream event, his tracks fill you with happiness and really get you bouncing.
Local talent DJ Dynamic and Flyboy are well known in the Toronto scene and can usually be found spinning their trademark anthem-peppered hardcore at various venues both large and small. Their dedication to their music has been seen across events like Anime North, Atomic Lollipop, Heart of Gold, and many, many others.
Marty McFly is also a resident of the Daydream family and calls Toronto home. His breaks are funky and his stage presence behind the decks is outstanding. Marty brings more than two decades of experience in both his native Canada and abroad to the decks, and will definitely keep you moving on the dance floor.
The Opera House is set as the event venue – a Toronto icon that has seen many raves and is a fan favorite for large events. Tickets are still available online here if you don’t yet have one and the event page can be found here!
