March has proved a huge month for trance in Toronto, and the new team at Rapture is helping close out the month with their event Frequency on March 24, 2018 at Nest. They’re entering the scene with a bang, as they are bringing not one, but two debuts to bless our ears and our hearts: Paul Denton and Sam Jones. Both Tech Trance masters in their own right, this event will surely be poppin’ from start to finish. I personally love Tech Trance, so this night will be extra special for me.
Paul Denton is relatively new to the Trance scene, but boy is he making a splash. He has graced some of the biggest Trance labels, such as such as Subculture, Kearnage, FSOE, Outburst, Grotesque, In Trance We Trust, and Afterdark. This will be his North American debut, and I count Toronto lucky for being the city to welcome him. He’s had a whopping a total of seven songs in the Beatport Top 10 in the last 12 months, which speaks volumes. We caught up with him for an exclusive interview recently, check it out here! Sam Jones is a force to reckon with – his high energy sets rock the dancefloor with the sounds of Tech Trance and uplifting intervals. Supporting this event is none other than Deecee, the Toronto powerhouse we all know and love. I’m sure he needs no introduction at this point, as we consistently see him open/close for Electric Escape events. He always seems to know what the crowd wants to hear, and I know I can count on him to deliver an uplifting, high-energy set including a bunch of fun-to-sing-along-to songs. Always a pleasure seeing him spin, and this night will be no different!
Last but not least, Gattai will also be supporting this event. This concept is the brainchild of Toronto DJs Davide Ferrara and FraktL, who are Rapture’s co-founders. I hear whispers that these guys will be the Rapture resident DJs, so I am looking forward to seeing what they have to offer. Listen to their exclusive set for this event below.
