With three glorious years of extraordinary events behind them, Trance Sessions has announced the first of their third-anniversary celebratory series this summer. On Saturday July 20, 2019 Irish DJ/Producer Sneijder returns to Toronto after a long hiatus for a marathon 4-hour Afterdark set at ONE LOFT. He will be joined by Trance Sessions residents Brian David and M45 for a night that promises to bring us all back to the underground. If Sneijder’s previous Afterdark sessions are any indication, we are in for 4 hours of dark, heavy tech beats broken up with intervals of melodic and uplifting trance.

Hailing from Northern Ireland, Sneijder has been active in the trance scene since his first release The Phuture in 2009. Over the last decade, he has had the opportunity to play at a number of major festivals including Dreamstate, Luminosity, A State of Trance, Subculture and Future Sound of Egypt and has had countless releases on many of the trance scene’s most prominent labels. Sneijder has been singled out as one of the leaders of the current tech-trance revolution due to his innate ability to fuse darkness with euphoria to create a completely unique sound.
In 2016, Sneijder launched his record label Afterdark, aiming to showcase cutting-edge, like-minded talents and dance-floor driven beats. Since then his label has seen releases from the likes of Richard Durand, Paul Denton, and Shugz, to name a few. His live sessions truly bring these tracks to life. His live recorded mixcomps “Afterdark 001: Buenos Aires” and recently released “Afterdark 002: Los Angeles” aim to capture that underground club energy. As a listener, you can feel every moment through the cheers of the crowd and watch the set evolve over the course of the two-disc set. The Los Angeles compilation includes Sneijder’s incredible remix of Ben Gold and Sivan’s Stay which I’ve heard everywhere this summer, and I’m certain is a contender for Tune of the Year.
Support for this event will be provided by Brian David and M45 who have been with Trance Sessions since the very beginning. Be sure to come early to warm up with us and enjoy the opening sets. The event runs from 10pm to 5am at ONE LOFT at 292 College St. Tier 1 tickets are currently available at $20 (+fee) so make sure to get yours here before the price goes up!
